ARNOLD / SIERRA NEVADA, Calif. — October 27, 2026. California State Parks awarded Stanislaus National Forest $75,000 for a development project to add an additional restroom at Spicer SNO-Park, with the facility intended for both summer and winter use. The award is one of 136 funded projects in the state’s 2026 off-highway vehicle recreation grants.

Why this matters to residents

Spicer SNO-Park serves visitors to the Highway 4 Sierra corridor. A permanent restroom can make a remote recreation stop more practical for families and travelers, especially where services are limited in winter.

What has not been confirmed

The grant announcement does not confirm that construction has begun or that the restroom is available now. Verify winter road conditions and SNO-Park rules separately. The $75,000 is included in the state’s reported $28.1 million total, not new spending on top of it.
